Compliance support

A necessary, but often dreaded part of what you do as an insurance broker.

If compliance is something that you never quite feel on top of, if you find yourself moving those compliance tasks on from one day to the next, this service could be for you.

Our experienced compliance team are qualified to guide you through all aspects of your compliance requirements from documentation, process manuals and commission disclosures through to GDPR advice, staff training and quality assurance. Think of us as your very own Compliance Department.

We will work with you to make sure that you are meeting your regulatory and operational requirements as a broker, giving you peace of mind that your business is operating in a fully compliant manner.

01 — Business Health check

This is the starting point - a full review of your current policies, processes and infrastructure to make sure you are where you need to be and in line with all the FCA regulations.

We will talk through our findings with you, highlighting any gaps that exist and provide guidance where it’s needed on how you can get back on track. All the details will also be contained in an easy-to-read report for your reference to enable you to make sure you are operating in a fully compliant manner.

02 — Compliance support

Access to experienced guidance for any compliance and regulatory enquiries that you may have.

Whether it be a query on some FCA regulations or Consumer Duty, your FCA returns, perhaps you want us to take your FCA returns off your hands. Or maybe you need assistance with becoming independently authorised or getting policies and procedures in place.

The scope of advice and assistance we can give is vast.

We can guide you through a specific issue or change that’s taking place in your business. Help you to review and identify the implications of this and advise on any action that is needed.

03 — Quality assurance

Our Quality Assurance supports you in ensuring the competence of your staff and the overall compliance of your brokerage. We can provide independent reviews of:

  • your sales process activity

  • sales documentation

  • files

  • telephone calls

  • recorded customer facing activity

Be confident that sales are being carried out to the standard that you want.  

03 — Complaint handling

We can independently manage any customer complaints or expressions of dissatisfaction that you might receive. In doing so we would provide you with an independent ‘unbiased’ approach to reviewing and reporting on any complaints.

04 — GDPR

Not keen on the idea of being the ‘data protection officer’? Then hand that role over to us.

As part of this service, we will ensure that all the documentation you require is in place, we will manage any Access requests you receive, report any breaches, undertake impact assessments and sort out your ICO registration.

05 — Training

Come to us for bespoke training sessions on a wide range of topics, or alternatively hand over the reigns and leave it to us to manage your T&C scheme.

How it works.

We like to keep things as simple as we possibly can whilst offering you the flexibility your business needs.

01 - Business health check

A full audit usually takes up to 2 days and this service forms the basis of any ongoing compliance support should you decide to work with us on a regular basis.

We will assess where you currently are, advise and implement the changes required to make sure you are operating in a fully compliant manner.

02 - Retainer pick ‘n’ mix service

This is our most popular service. On our retainer service we guarantee the support hours that you require each month in a format that works for you at a known cost.

Our current clients vary between 20 and 65 hours per month, but we can discuss your requirements and agree a level of support in a format that is right for you.

We will always try to accommodate changes to hours that are needed to fit your business needs. All we ask for is 30 days’ notice should you wish to make a change or end the agreement.

If you wish to include compliance support within your retainer package this usually follows on from a Health Check so that we have a complete picture of your business and the support you need.

As a retainer service client you will benefit from a discounted Business Health check.

03 - Compliance SOS

If you need some ad hoc support to guide you through a specific compliance issue or a complaint, this could be for you.

Bespoke support charged on an hourly basis.
