FOUNDER

I love what I do, but I am a true believer that you work to live, not the other way around.

I’ve worked in insurance for more than 15 years and during that time, I’ve worked across a number of disciplines including account management, claims assessment, medical underwriting, sales and marketing.

But work isn’t the be all and end all. I have a young family that I love spending time with and a passion for travelling and exploring new places (along with revisiting old favourites as well!). I wanted to create more flexibility in the way I work and having spotted a need amongst insurance brokers for experienced, flexible, outsourced support, I founded Insurance Support Solutions in 2021.

Working in medical insurance highlighted to me the need for empathy and understanding. Insurance isn't purely transactional, it's more than that. It's about helping people when they need it in the most efficient and simple way possible. These are some of the values that founded this business and are ones we can bring to brokers across any field of insurance.

In this business I work alongside some wonderful people. Whether it’s those that are working as part of the team at Insurance Support Solutions or brokers that we support, my mission is to build a business that will help them succeed in their work in a way that enables them to love their life and truly feel that they work to live.

    My insurance career started over 20 years ago and during that time I have undertaken a number of different roles. These range from account executive to account manager to managing a busy insurance brokers office.

    Away from work I enjoy spending time with my children and playing sports (whilst I still can!).

  • Delyth Deeley

    SUPPORT EXECUTIVE

    I have nearly 10 years’ experience working in the insurance industry, mostly within claims departments. While my work at Insurance Support Solutions has me working across all types of insurance, I have a particular interest in large domestic property claims and liability.

    I recently emigrated to Norway and working remotely allows me the flexibility to continue working in the industry I know and love.

    When I am not working, I am mostly likely to be found taking my dog walking in the forest, attempting to avoid the wild moose, or trying out new recipes in the kitchen.

    SUPPORT EXECUTIVE

    After 10 years in Insurance and redundancy, I took a career break which made it clear to me how much I used to enjoy insurance!

    After re-locating to Scotland at the end of 2022, to an area where part time, local, admin work is not easy to come by, I am working with Insurance Support Solutions. This combines my enjoyment of administrative work with the Insurance knowledge all from the comfort of my own home!

    Balancing life with work was part of the reason to make the move North of the border so this works out perfectly. Two dogs and a husband keep me busy outside of the home office, especially with access to the hills from my doorstep!

  • William Deegan

    COMPLIANCE CONSULTANT

    I have extensive experience of risk & compliance (regulated and non-regulated environments), sales & customer service excellence, training & competence, data protection (GDPR), project management, operational management practice and process, change/transformation management, quality assurance and training & development.

    I’ve enjoyed utilising these skills to benefit a wide range of clients in a wide range of both face to face, and online customer facing environments. I’m a professionally qualified Consultant and Interim; a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Managers, Associate member of CIPD and Certificated EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) Practitioner. I’m also an accredited Tetramap Facilitator.

    Prior to becoming an independent consultant, I had ten years with Prudential UK Ltd in several customer facing and regulated sales management positions and following this I spent six years in the Prudential's National Training Centre.
